Notice of Refurbishments, Closures, Restrictions
Traffic Restrictions or Closures during runDisney Events:
Guests should allow for additional travel time during runDisney marathon events, due to some road closures that may be in effect.
Saratoga Springs Resort Pool Closure:
The Paddock Pool, its aquatic play area and The Paddock Grill at Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort will be closed from October 13 through early December ’25 for routine maintenance.
Exterior Refurbishment at Boulder Ridge Villas at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge:
From April-December 2024, Boulder Ridge Villas will undergo exterior refurbishment work. You may see and hear refurbishment work during daytime hours.
Refurbishment at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa:
Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa will be receiving enhancements to select areas, including the lobby, from April through November 2025. Guests may see and hear construction during daytime hours, and portions of the lobby will be closed at times. Pools, most resort dining and other amenities will remain available. Please allow extra time for travel to allow for path adjustments.
As Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa continues its renovations, the gingerbread display will not be available during the holiday season in 2025.
Ongoing Construction and Refurbishment at Disney’s Polynesian Villas & Bungalows:
As Disney continues to prepare for the proposed expansion of Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort, guests will be able to see and hear construction at certain times of day. To minimize disruptions, activities that may create noise will not start earlier than 9:00 AM.
Now through 2026, additional portions of the resort hotel will be undergoing refurbishment, subject to operational needs or weather conditions. The ongoing enhancements may impact views of the theme park and other surrounding areas.
Disney Skyliner Closure at Riviera Resort, Boardwalk Villas and Beach Club Villas:
From January 25, 2026, through January 31, 2026, Disney Skyliner will be closed for refurbishment. Complimentary bus service will be available for guests impacted by this closure at Riviera, Boardwalk and Beach Club.
Planned Refurbishment at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Villas – Jambo House:
From May 2026 through January 2027, Guest rooms at Jambo House at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge will undergo refurbishment. During this time, Guests may see or hear construction work in the area. All amenities will remain available throughout the refurbishment.
Terrace Refurbishment at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Villas – Jambo House:
From early July 2025, the Zebra Trail terrace at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge – Jambo House will undergo refurbishment. During this time, Guests may see or hear work taking place in the area. The terrace is expected to open again at the end of July or early August.
Planned Refurbishment at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Villas – Kidani Village:
From October 2025 through May 2026, Guest rooms at Kidani Village at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge will undergo refurbishment. During this time, Guests may see or hear construction work in the area. All amenities will remain available throughout the refurbishment.
Exterior Maintenance at Disney’s Beach Club Villas:
Between June and September 2025, routine exterior maintenance will be taking place at Beach Club. During this time, the porte cocheres will be closed. All services—including valet, luggage assistance, and transportation—will remain available. While efforts will be made to minimize disruptions, construction may be noticeable during daytime hours.
Refurbishment for the Cabins at Copper Creek Villas at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge:
From May 2025 to September 2025, Copper Creek Villas & Cabins at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge will undergo interior refurbishment for guest rooms along with some routine exterior maintenance work. While all Resort amenities will remain available, you may see and hear construction during daytime hours.
Recreation Activities impacted by Ongoing Construction at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort and Campground:
Beginning early May 2025, construction will take place near the Meadow Swimmin’ Pool area. The Meadow Swimmin’ Pool and Wilderness Swimmin’ Pool will remain open for your enjoyment, however, the nearby tennis courts, volleyball court and the Meadow Playground will be temporarily closed. Please note that Guests may see and hear construction in the area until the work is complete.
Pool Closure at Bay Lake Tower:
From January 26, 2026 to early May 2026, the Bay Cove Pool, the water play area and the whirlpool spa at Bay Lake Tower at Disney’s Contemporary Resort will temporarily be closed for maintenance. The Bay Lake Pool, the feature pool and the water play area and the whirlpool spa at Disney’s Contemporary Resort will remain open for Guests to enjoy.
Planned Refurbishment at Bay Lake Tower at Disney’s Contemporary Resort:
From September 2024 through September 2025, room refurbishment work will take place in Bay Lake Tower at Disney’s Contemporary Resort. Guests will see and hear construction work throughout Bay Lake Tower during the refurbishment. The Skyway Bridge between Bay Lake Tower and Contemporary Resort may be intermittently closed during the refurb, so please allow additional time for travel.
Ongoing Refurbishment and Closures at The Villas at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel:
Beginning Spring 2025 through to 2026, The Villas at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa is undergoing refurbishment. Select guest room balconies may be inaccessible while work is performed to refresh exterior areas. Guests may see and hear construction work during daytime hours. Napa Rose restaurant will be temporarily closed and is expected to reopen in Fall 2025, however during this time, Disney Princess Breakfast Adventures will be offered in Trillium Room.
Planned Refurbishment at Disney’s Hilton Head Island Resort:
From September 2025 through March 2026, Disney’s Hilton Head Island Resort will undergo exterior maintenance. The ongoing enhancements may impact views from several places within the resort, and guests may see and hear refurbishment work during daytime hours.
Planned Refurbishment at Disney’s Vero Beach Resort:
From February 9, 2026, through May 2026, exterior refurbishment work will take place at Disney’s Vero Beach Resort. During this time, Guests may see and hear construction work during daytime hours.
Pool Refurbishment at Disney’s Aulani Resort:
The Waikolohe family pool, Waikolohe whirlpool spa, and Volcanic Vertical body slide will be closed for refurbishments from April 13 – May 8, 2026. During this time, guests can still enjoy the Waikolohe Stream lazy river, Ka Maka Pool & Grotto family pool, Keiki Cove children’s splash zone, Tubestone Curl tube slide, Menehune Bridge water play structure, several whirlpool spas, and the Ko Olina beach area.
Transient Accommodations Tax at Disney’s Aulani Resort:
For all stays at Aulani, the State of Hawaii and the Island of Oahu imposes a daily transient accommodations tax that is charged at check-out.
